What Russian 3-year-olds know by heart
Larisa Golubeva
4 Famous Russian folk fairy tales (written in a modern language) for very small children and foreigners. Every Russian word has an English translation and printed in bold stressed vowel.
The uncountable numbers of generations of Russian speakers started their venture into the world of literature with these unusual fairy tales for very small children. Normally, Russian children (and adults) know them by heart.
This Russian-English dual-language book gives you an opportunity to easily translate from Russian into English: Before each Russian sentence, you’ll find the English translation of every Russian word from this sentence.
In this book, I’m trying to give a literal translation of each Russian word. So, when you translate a sentence, it might come out somewhat weird in English (just a warning…) I hope this will make you laugh, and not frustrated. Hope you enjoy reading & feel like a Russian 3-year-old (but with a foreign accent) :)
